Greetings to all that have taken the time to read this short
message. It is my prayers that the rest
of this year and the rest of your lives shall be the best. In this writing, it is my desire to remind us
that are of God to cultivate the habit of allowing God to fight the battles
that we face, everyday as humans, whether
a believer or non-believer, because the Bible tells us so. In life, we all have spiritual as well as
physical challenges we face, and sometimes we tend to think we can fight these
battles on our own. Brothers and
sisters, I humbly beseech us today that, as it is written in the bible, allow
God to do all our spiritual and physical battles for us. In that light, I have titled this blog “ LET
GOD DO THE FIGHTING”. As a believer in
Christ we are to refrain from the mindset that we can defend ourselves and
leave our Savior Jesus Christ out of our battles. We are told to let God fight for us and not
to endeavor to fight our battles alone and not involve God
The Bible makes it clear that God is a fighter; God is a God of defense; God is a warrior and a destroyer of wickedness that comes against the people of God. In several places in the Bible, we see where God fights for His people. God strategizes victory for His people when they are faced with trouble. The word of God says in Psalm 46 vs. 1 that God is our refuge and strength a very present help in trouble. Beloved, there will be difficult times, but God promises to be our refuge. At the gate of Jericho, God gave Joshua and his men a strategy that broke down the walls of Jericho for an easy passage toward s the land of promise. When Jehoshaphat faced the Moabites, the Ammonites and the inhabitants of Mt. Seir, God gave Jehoshaphat a strategy of war that brought defeat and shame to his enemies. When the Egyptians were pursuing Moses and the people of God towards the Red Sea, God intervened by removing the wheels of Pharaoh’s chariots in order to slow them down (Exodus 14:24-25). God gives strength to His people whenever they are faced with troubles. When Nehemiah was confronted by Sanbalat and Tobias when reconstructing the wall of Jerusalem, it was God’s intervention that put those two to shame. When Moses faced Dathan, Korah and Abiram, it was God who fought against Dathan, Korah and Abiram until they were destroyed. The fact of the matter is that:
· God fights for His people and He enjoins us to leave the battle for Him to fight them for us.
· God fights the enemies of the righteous with the same things He created. God released 10 plagues against Pharaoh in Egypt and when Pharaoh remained stubborn and hardened, God used the Red Sea to finish him.
· Anything can be a weapon in the hands of God when fighting for His people.
Some of the weapons God uses o fight for His children are: the wind; thunder; the sun; the moon; the stars; angels; worms; the earth; heat; earthquake; arrows; water; fire; rain; the Word; the blood of Jesus; sicknesses and diseases; hardness of heart; DEATH; and many more you cannot imagine.
